OMG - A NEW LOCAL TALK SHOW ON DIVA UNIVERSAL WITH SAZZY FALAK AND RAZIF HASHIM

Get ready for a sassy new talk show as DIVA Universal debuts its first ever locally produced magazine format talk show, OMG – a brand new series that is set to inspire, empower and entertain young ladies with tips, insights and of course, juicy news! OMG is a catchphrase commonly used among young people as an expression for unexpected moments. It is the perfect show for young modern women who are vibrant, ambitious, adventurous and independent. Catered for the Malaysian audiences, OMG will premiere on DIVA Universal (Astro Ch 702) on 5th November, every Monday at 7.30 pm.

Haris Ismail, Vice President of Branded Content Media Sales at Astro said, “We are extremely excited to be part of the OMG launch, as it is the first ever localised content to premiere on DIVA Universal in Malaysia. We are proud to partner with an international channel like DIVA Universal in making more localised content, such as OMG, available to all our Astro customers.”

“We would also like to thank our sponsor, F&N Magnolia Sherbet for adding further delight to the show with a special segment that takes ordinary young women on extraordinary adventures. OMG is definitely an entertaining remedy for the young working women of today,” he added.

Two of Malaysia’s familiar faces and leading entertainers, Sazzy Falak together with Razif Hashim, or better known as Raz, will give you a weekly dosage of juicy and interesting topics, which include matters on career, family, friendship, singlehood, relationships and many more. With 13 exciting episodes, the half-hour show introduces three (3) main segments – OMG Celebrity, OMG Miss Chilled and Oh My Gaji.

The OMG Celebrity segment will feature special interviews with our hosts and many of your favourite Malaysian celebrity guests, including Lisa Surihani, Jaclyn Victor, Hannah Tan, Mizz Nina, Noh Hujan and Deborah Henry. Each episode will also see celebrity guests partake in a fun mini-segment called ‘Oh My Gambar Lama’, where they will be asked to share old, embarrassing photos of themselves with OMG viewers!

In partnership with F&N Magnolia Sherbet, the OMG Miss Chilled segment captures the adventures of 13 lucky ladies shortlisted in the on-ground Miss Chilled search organised by F&N Magnolia Sherbet. Each week, the audience will get to witness the sweat and drama of our OMG! Sherbet crew uncovering the secret stress factor of each Ms Chilled profile and assigning them to an activity such as go karting, high ropes course or even a blind date! The aim is to provide them a quick fix to keep them calm and composed during their OMG moments. Every Miss Chilled profile will also appear in an exclusive interview with Raz to reflect on their experience and lesson learnt from their activities.

Nini Yusof, Country Manager of Advertising Sales Malaysia at NBC Universal said, "As the choice channel destination women are turning to for their entertainment fix, DIVA is thrilled to deliver a show on topics and personalities that are closer to the hearts of Malaysian women. And we are pleased to have Magnolia Sherbet as our partner."

Michael Loh, General Manager of F&N Creameries (M) Sdn Bhd said, “We are delighted to collaborate with Astro & DIVA Universal for the first time. This new style talk show aptly portrays the emotional benefits of Sherbet ice cream to offer individuals the unwinding experience from their day-to-day stress triggers and OMG moments, so that they can regain their composure. This is because every spoonful of Magnolia Sherbet exudes refreshing, appetizing appeal of luscious tropical fruits puree and fruit bits to cool you down almost instantly and help you regain poise. There are four flavours: Marvellous Mangosteen, Luscious Lychee, Magnificent Melon and Delightful Orange available to appeal to your every sense”.

OMG also features a segment called Oh My Gaji that looks at individuals with unconventional jobs. Both Sazzy and Raz must guess the type of job by asking only two questions. From a female pilot to Male nurse, or a fire dancer to a SFX makeup artist, or even a Bungee jump instructor or a female car drifter, the mystery occupation will be revealed in a video displaying their daily work routine. Our dear hosts must guess correctly to avoid a ‘punishment’ at the end of the show!

Be sure to catch the premiere of OMG on DIVA Universal (Astro Ch 702) on 5th November, every Monday at 7.30 pm!
