ASTRO TUTOR TV PRESENTS LIVE ONLINE TUTORIAL



Astro Tutor TV will run a special online tutorial LIVE on YouTube at 3pm on Saturday 29 September to help PMR students tackle challenging questions in light of the upcoming PMR exams.  

Students can submit their revision questions by Friday 28 September via Twitter, Facebook and Google+ by using the hashtag #AskTutorTVPMR. Selected questions will then be answered by Astro Tutor TV’s panel of tutors this Saturday via Google+ Hangout on Air where viewers can catch the live tutorial on Astro Tutor TV’s YouTube page www.youtube.com/astrotutortv.

Astro Tutor TV’s innovative tutorial session via online social network is the first of its kind in Malaysia and will entail a 20 minute session for each of five PMR subjects including English, Bahasa Malaysia, Maths, Science and History. (VISIT KL) KL Food and Culture Festival 2012




 
The Mayor of Kuala Lumpur, Dato’ Hj Ahmad Phesal Bin Hj Talib sharing the celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year with foreign tourists and tourism industry players in Kuala Lumpur  during the launch of - ‘KL Food & Cultural Festival’ held in the conjunction with Hari Raya 2012 at Dataran Merdeka today.
 “KL Food & Cultural Festival” allows foreign tourists and expatriates visiting or on short stay in Kuala Lumpur to taste the nation traditional dishes, experience and participate and Malaysian cultural activities such as arts, crafts, traditional games, music and multicultural dance performances.
At the festival event, the Mayor demonstrated the Dodol stirring to tourists at 1 of the 33 tents from tourism businesses including hotels, retail and club, restaurants, crafts and arts located within Kuala Lumpur city. The tents introduced and demonstrated specific dishes and art products that are must “Taste and Experience” to tourists while their visit in Kuala Lumpur. Each visitor received a special-designed postcard to redeem themself food and drinks. The postcard features the food served ranging from Dodol ,Mee Goreng Mamak ,Teh Tarik, Kuih Kapit, Ketupat , Lemang, Traditional Kueh, Satay Ayam, Pasembur, Roti Jala, Bahulu , Kari Laksa , Lamb Briyani , Banana Fritters, Fried Kuey Teow, Rose, Prawn Fritters, Murtabak and Karipap (Cuffy Puff) to a creative culinary Roti Canai Durian and Dalca. At the same time, the festival also creates opportunities for the participating business organisations to promote their services in the market, display diversity of Malaysian culture to attract tourists to Kuala Lumpur. Visitors also get the chance to play “Sepak raga”, create their own masterpiece through batik chanting and become a dancer through “Joget Lambak” at the festival.
The Mayor explained the objective of “KL Food and Cultural Festival” was to create finest and tasteful experience while engaging relationship with foreigners visiting Kuala Lumpur. “We want them to taste our local foods and experience the preparation of the food like stirring the Dodol and Lemang making. Instantly, with the postcard redemption coupon, not only they can get the chance to taste the food but they will share this unique experience to their family and friends by sending the postcard coupon as a gastronomic tip and guide to Kuala Lumpur.”
At the same event venue, The Mayor together with media and guests have a quick visit to The Kuala Lumpur City Gallery that houses attractions such as Kuala Lumpur Information Centre , a detailed and intricate miniature model of Kuala Lumpur’s heritage enclave the Dataran Merdeka and Chinatown, ARCH Visitor Centre, ARCH D-I-Y Workshop and ARCH gift shop. The Mayor and guest visited Kuala Lumpur Tourism new office sited on the second level of the building after viewing the Kuala Lumpur model miniature; the almost complete largest masterpiece of the Kuala Lumpur City Model showcases the present and future developments of Kuala Lumpur by using a total of 3,000 light-emitting diode (LED).
